They’re Here!

They’re Here!

I have to say, I’m rather impressed with Terra Plana, these replacements have been here two days after I was told they wouldn’t arrive until June! Very good service and basically a no quibble replacement.

I will keep updating as I wear and use these, noting any information I think may be useful to prospective buyers.

Since picking up another niggle in the form of foot strain after being pulled down a mountain by our Springer Spaniel I have decided to experiment with lacing techniques. You can just about see in this first image how I have routed the laces.

No Pressure

In this closeup you can clearly see that I have threaded the laces straight up the shoe through the eyelets. The lace goes through the front-most eyelets and crosses over the shoe to go up the other side in a similar fashion. This technique will ensure that there is no pressure exerted by the laces on the top of my feet thus protecting them from any potential tendon or soft tissue injury associated with tight lacing.

Tied Up

Here I hope you can see that the laces simply cross over at the top of the tongue and are tied in the conventional manner to ensure that the feet don’t slip forwards in the shoe and they stay on the feet!

Quality

Quality-wise I think these shoes look and feel good. It remains to be seen how well they wear though. I do love to run in them, they are very nice shoes! I will keep you posted!
