A Fantastic Weekend
I have really enjoyed this weekend. Saturday was spent with Friends in the glorious weather cycling around Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and cycling home afterwards which we all enjoyed very much indeed. Learn by Showing I also had a wonderful time helping a friend with her running style and in doing so I learned quite Read more...
Fibularis Peroneus Brevis
Sometimes a lightbulb comes on in my head and I realise why something is happening. For ages now my left foot has had problems. The latest is fibularis (Peroneus) Brevis. http://www.getbodysmart.com/ap/muscularsystem/footmuscles/fibularisbrevis/tutorial.html The tendon on the edge of my foot hurts like hell – it joins up just on to the fifth metatarsal. I went running Read more...
A Relaxing Five
A very enjoyable relaxing run. Feet felt tense for the first half of a mile until I managed to get them to relax. I’m getting better at this, and it pleases me greatly. Just a bit of a twinge when I got home and was walking upstairs – from the nerve on left side of Read more...

Painless Running
My favourite kind of running I have to admit and until today I was beginning to think it may be a thing of the past for me. Today I ran 5.92 miles in 00:50:33 @08:32 pace, 67%WHR (139bpm). It was rather warm, over cast and threatening thunder storms. I decided I was going to make Read more...
Rise of the Machines
I have always had a fascination of advances in technology and have often wondered if we would ever see thinking machines that could move about in much the same way we do. Ever since I realised that we run in a very different way to which I thought and what popular opinion would have Read more...

Beginners Take Heed
Looking around on the Posetech website tonight and I came across this page which I thought was really useful for beginners. It told me just about everything I did or have done since trying to run more efficiently. Read and absorb it because it may well save you lots of time and frustration. http://www.posetech.com/training/archives/000193.html Are Read more...
Awesome Running
Just look at this man. Usain Bolt is a legend already. The running style is so fantastic, relaxed and flowing. Poetry in motion, absolutely, Bolt just makes the rest of the field look rather pedestrian. Consider this: Bolt doesn’t feel on top form and he delivers this! Enjoy! I ran today and it was an Read more...
